Use this glossary to understand the technical language used in LED display specifications, engineering documents and buying discussions. Each definition connects the term to practical project decisions and related technical guides.
The center-to-center distance between adjacent LED pixels, usually measured in millimeters. Smaller pitch generally means higher pixel density.

Related: image quality · low brightness · HDR Planned guideA unit of luminance used to describe display brightness. Required brightness depends on ambient light, daylight exposure, viewing conditions and operating schedule.
Related: indoor · outdoor · daylightIngress Protection rating describing resistance to solid particles and water. Front and rear ratings can differ depending on product and installation design.

Related: driver IC · PWM · cameraA control method used to regulate LED brightness through rapid switching. PWM behavior can affect low-brightness performance and camera compatibility.
Related: refresh rate · scan · shutterThe process of adjusting brightness and color output across LED modules or pixels to improve uniformity and consistency.
Related: module replacement · color uniformityThe actual number of physical pixels in the LED display. It is determined by screen dimensions and pixel pitch rather than by content resolution alone.
